Celebration of love
In a constant quest to find a soul, impact, and purpose in all aspects of life, Caroline De Cuyper was intent that her wedding should reflect her values. She devised to celebrate the intertwining identities of her and her husband, as well as an expression of their personalities and the things they love.
From the lithograph invitations to the decorations, the wedding was characterised by dynamic forms, abstract lines and colourful simplicity. This sprouted from the couple’s great admiration for the iconic artists Alexander Calder and Joan Miró. Tailor-made tents, tables and tableware – including napkins embroidered with a personal logo – created a magical and wholly unique setting for the couple’s celebration.
Caroline also designed her own wedding dress, made out of five separate pieces that can be worn on their own but also form a harmonious ensemble – just like their love is the sum of their individual, autonomous lives. From the see-through gown referring to transparency within their relationship, to the veil adorned with a line from the Francis Cabrel song: “Je t’aimais, je t’aime et je t’aimerais.” As an echo of her joyful and artistic personality, her wedding look stood out with details like neon yellow eyeliner and the Pearls of Prose earring.
